The Guard Builder is a bulk creation tool that helps you quickly create multiple guards by scanning your ads and matching them to products based on URLs.

When to Use Guard Builder

Use Guard Builder when you want to:

• Create guards for many products at once

• Automatically match ads to products based on URLs

• Set up guards for your entire product catalog quickly

How Guard Builder Works

Select Products

Choose which products to create guards for:

• Select individual products

• Select collections (all products in the collection)

• Use the search to find specific products

Scan Ads

Guard Builder scans your connected ad accounts to find ads that link to your selected products:

• URL Matching - Ads must have URLs that match your Shopify product URLs

• Platform Support - Works with both Meta Ads and Google Ads

• Filtering - Only ads with valid Shopify product URLs are included

Review Matches

Review the matches found:

• See which products have matching ads

• See which products don't have matching ads

• See ads that couldn't be matched to products

Configure Guards

For each product with matching ads, configure:

• Pause Threshold - When to pause ads

• Resume Threshold - When to resume ads

• Automation Mode - Monitor only or Pause + Resume

You can set defaults that apply to all guards, or configure each one individually.

Create Guards

Click Create Guards to create all configured guards at once.

What this message means

If you see this message, it means:

• No Matching Ads - None of your ads have URLs that match your selected products

• URL Format Issues - Your ad URLs may not be in the correct format

• No Ads Selected - You may not have selected any ad accounts to scan

URL Requirements

For ads to be matched, they must:

• Link to a Shopify product page

• Use the correct product handle format

• Be active (not archived or deleted)

Bulk Configuration

Guard Builder allows you to:

• Set Defaults - Configure pause/resume thresholds that apply to all guards

• Individual Override - Customize thresholds for specific products

• Batch Operations - Create, edit, or delete multiple guards at once

Tips for success

• Start small — test with a few products first before creating many guards

• Review matches — always review the matches before creating guards

• Check URLs — ensure your ad URLs are correct and up-to-date

• Use collections — if products share similar inventory patterns, group them in collections

After Creating Guards

Once guards are created:

• They appear on the Guards page

• They start monitoring immediately

• You can edit or delete them individually

• Activity is tracked in the Activity Feed
